Australians do Florida!

One of my best friends (who lives in Sydney, AUS but we met in Lexington, KY) Felicity, her husband and crew of 4 came to stay with us for a week, one week after we moved in. Talk about madness...12 people in a 2600 sq foot house. And half way through the week the AC goes out. Didn't care how much it cost to get it fixed that night (which was about 11:30pm). We had a GREAT time exploring the area together! And the kids were amazing. You would have never have know that they don't even really know each other (Logan and Xavier were each others first real best friends back in the day- when they were 2-4). They were automatic best friends. Football games in the yard, jeep drives in the street, and lots of FUN!! We missed them the minute they left!!!
An evening walk on the beach, but they couldn't resist getting in.

A perfect beach day!

How many people can we fit under the umbrella for lunch?

We ended the day with dinner at Frenchy's on the beach

Playing tag after dinner

Where did Gerard's feet go?

We stayed to watch the sun set...beautiful!

Perfect ending to a perfect day!

On our way to Clearwater Marine Aquarium to see Hope and Winter from Dolphin Tale

A day at the Marriott pool. It rain for a couple minutes and
everyone left and then we had the pool to ourselves!

Rainy day bowling!
The kids had a great time!

Time to say goodbye.
Until next time!

4th of July Weekend

We closed and moved into our new home in Florida during the 4th of July week. Our annual tradition has been to spend 4th of July in Ohio with Michael's parents, but it just wasn't in the cards this year; so we celebrated on our own for the first time. we worked on the house and Michael worked on Saturday and then we celebrated with a cookout and our own fireworks and sparklers. Sunday, we had a nice relaxing beach afternoon.

Florida here we come!

We arrived in Florida on Thursday night, but we didn't close on our house until Monday; so we had a long weekend to have some FUN! This was especially great, since our first trip here to visit was ruined with the flu and we didn't get to do anything. Its been a long two years with LOTS of transition for the kids and we wanted them to be excited to be here!

We rode the Pirate Ship in Clearwater!

Rode the Jolly Trolley (Carson was dying to ride it!) to Pier 60, took a walk and had lunch at local favorite Frenchy's.

Mini - Golf!
They even had real alligators!

Jet Skiing!

And we took in a Tampa Bay Rays vs. Cleveland Indians Game!
Go Indians!

I think our adventures got the kids excited to be here!

No Regrets...

Well, school is over and the last couple of weeks have been a whirlwind. But we leave Alabama with no regrets about not getting to do this or that....we have been busy getting it ALL IN! The kids have all had friends over, we have been playing, swimming, running, you name it! It has been a good start to our summer...Adios Birmingham!
